Canadian National was held in Lethbridge Alberta on June 23 and 24th and the Lethbridge Kennel Club 3 shows and 4 trials are on June 23,24 and 25th 2006. The Regional Club was once again well represented. Winning from our Club was Itzawhat's Was the Best of Times. Daisy started the weekend with a win at the All breed on Friday of Winners Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed. She went on that day to go Best of Opposite sex in Sweepstakes at the Canadian National. Saturday's juding at the Flat Coated Retriever Society of Canada's National Specialty, judged by Per Iverson resulted again in Winners Bitch for Daisy which also completed her Canadian Championship as well as Best Puppy In Specialty Show. Congratualtions to her owners Andrew Berg and Donna Maser.
The American National for 2006 has come and gone in St Louis Missouri. What a blast. Very few Albertan's there, but well represented by Tiffany Bandelow who won her class in Junior handling with her best friend Jake on the end of the lead. Tiffany also showed BISS Can. Ch. Itzawhat's Rocky Mountain Magic in the open dog class, his sister Am. Ch. Itzawhat's Lady In Red at CLane in the Specials Bitch class as well as Itzawhat's Was the Best of Times (Daisy) in the 9 - 12 month class. Daisy and Tiffany did great with a 2nd in a large class of 29. As well Sydney Kobell who is only 9 years old showed Itzawhat Cool Hand Luke in the 9 -12 month class and made the final cut of 6 in a class of 19. Well done. Our second Regional Specialty was held on August 5th 2006. Winners male, best of winners, best puppy and best of breed was Itzawhats Sam I Am. (Matlaras CadmusxCan. Ch. Itzawhat Billie Holiday. Best of opposite sex was Award of Merit to Can. Ch. Itzawhat Man In Black High In trial was Applegarth Knight of Fire
Our 2007 Regional was won by yet another Club Member, Andy and Loreen Frost with Can. Ch. Itzawhats Man in Black.  Best of Winners was Itzawhats Call Me Ishmael who also finished his Can. Championship at the Regional.

Lots has happened over the last little while   For Club memebers a bit of News.   Loreen and Andy said hello to their new addition Brit, also known as Clandrifts Canadian Dream.

Itzawhat Super Trooper is now on 5 points and also has a puppy group to his name which he won at the Edmonton dogs shows in April.

Can. Ch. Itzawhat Sam I Am is now also an American Champion.   Sam took 2 five point Majors at supported entries in Seattle.   The Flat Coat Retriever Society of American had supported the entries.  He Was shy one point and managed to Finish in Portland the following weekend with another 3 point major.

Daisy Can. Ch. It Was the Best of Times took her first major the hard way by going best of opposite over specials to build the 3 point Major.   Way to go Daisy.

River, Itzawhat's Black River finished his Canadian Championship at the Red Deer shows.  Congratulations to Wendy MacDonald. 

Mia, Itzawhat's Winner takes it all started her championship with three points from the weekend.   Way to go Mia.

American National was a miss this year but cannot wait for next year.
